Accessibility statement
Last audit: 17 October 2026
We are committed to providing an equal, accessible service to all users, including people with disabilities.
Conformance
The site and app were adapted to Israeli Standard IS 5568 (based on WCAG 2.0 level AA) and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. Our target is WCAG 2.1 / 2.2 level AA.
What we did
- Full keyboard navigation, "skip to content" link, logical focus order and a strong visible focus ring
- Screen-reader support: labels on every field, linked error messages (aria-invalid/aria-describedby), live regions, headings and landmarks
- Dialogs (quick edit, accessibility menu) close with Esc and return focus; focus is kept inside the edit dialog
- AA colour contrast; works at 200% zoom and 320 px width
- Respects the system "reduce motion" setting, plus a stop-animations option
- 5 languages with correct direction (Hebrew right-to-left) and a language declaration on every page
- Accessibility menu: larger text, high contrast, underline links, stop animations (saved on your device)
How we tested
Automated testing with axe-core 4.14.0 on all pages and states (Hebrew and English, mobile and desktop), plus manual keyboard, focus, zoom and reflow checks.
Known limitations
- External source websites (World Bank, PwC, immigration portals etc.) are not under our control and may not be accessible
- Names of newly added cities are shown in English only; country names are translated by the browser
- The comparison table is wide and scrolls horizontally on small screens
- Not yet tested by users with disabilities or across screen readers (NVDA/VoiceOver/TalkBack) – planned
- Research notes (sources.md) are plain text files, not HTML pages
